Mr. Awais Amber's "Sankalp" Program Receives Overwhelming Support at Bihar Students and Parents Meeting
Mr. Awais Amber, a national career counsellor and social activist, organized a meeting with students and parents in the Chapra District of Bihar on Tuesday, 28 Feb 2023, to promote his 100% scholarship program "Sankalp." The program aims to provide higher education to underprivileged students in Bihar and increase the Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) of the state.

Over 500 people, including students and parents, attended the meeting, and Mr. Amber's program received overwhelming support from the attendees. Many praised the initiative, which aims to provide equal opportunities for all students to pursue higher education and promote education as a tool for socio-economic development.
During his one-hour speech, Mr. Amber criticized the central government's implementation of tests and exams, which he believes is a significant factor in decreasing the GER of India. He also stated that the government's claim of India soon being equal to European countries was a false promise.

Mr. Amber announced that his program, in collaboration with the Rosemine Trust, would not require entrance exams or admission procedures for 88 courses. Students only need to have 50% marks and be 17 years old to qualify for admission. The program will cover tuition and college fees, providing financial relief to underprivileged students.
Furthermore, Mr. Amber emphasized that students should only worry about minimal hostel fees, and counseling dates for final admission and college reporting will be provided after the first round of counseling.
The success of the meeting highlights the demand for equal educational opportunities in Bihar, and Mr. Amber's "Sankalp" program is a commendable effort towards achieving this goal.
